Intensive or Semi-Intensive Courses
These courses do not suit everyone. 3 or 4 hours day after day is very hard work and requires tremendous concentration. However, many people have passed their test using this method and we have instructors who specialise in just this type of training.
These courses have the advantages of saving you time and money. They are a faster way to a test pass and are highly convenient for those with many other commitments.
We will not skimp on your basic needs as all aspects of driving need to be absorbed to ensure the production of a safe driver.
Course content:- Free loan of study material.
- One to one training with a fully qualified instructor.
- Regular breaks.
- Mock tests with a different instructor.
For someone who has never driven before, a two hour assessment drive is recommended before your specialist instructor can give an opinion on the number of hours of tuition required.
There are no set prices for these courses as, after your assessment, they will be tailored to suit your requirements. If you are almost at test standard this could be as little as a couple of days whereas a novice might like to spread it over a few weeks to make it not quite so intensive.
You may have an assessment at any time but please note that a practical test cannot be booked until you have passed your theory test. As the waiting list for practical tests can be from 3 to 10 weeks, depending on the time of year and the test area, if you wish to pass ‘within an week or two’ you will need to have passed the theory test before commencing your course.
Driving instructors are monitored by the Driving Standards Agency and must not submit poorly prepared candidates for test, therefore instructors may withdraw the use of their car if the standard of driving is well below safe levels.
